In 1990, the building of the former Hungarian Communist Party headquarters was transferred to the Ministry of Justice. At this time a decision was made that district 2 and 3 secede from the authority of Buda Central District Court of Justice and on January 1, 1991 the Budapest 2nd and 3rd District Court of Justice was established. The building was – after very little recontruction – suitable for high standard judicial service. In about a year human resources were also provided and work began in a good environment.
