The Budapest 18th and 19th District Court of Justice moved into a new building in November 2000. The building, which originally was constructed to be a school in 1927, was rebuilt as a state-of-the-art facility in perfect accordance with the demands of a court of justice. In the new building employees of the court work in 55 comfortable workrooms and in 12 courtrooms that are equipped with modern technology and quality furniture.
The basic area of the institution doubled from its previous size. At the new court all the judges and clerks of the court are connected via a network of on-line computers. In seven courtrooms minute taking is computerised. Here can be found one of the most modern, high capacity, movable archives of the country. The forwarding of files between different floors of the building is done with the help of a lift.
